Tumblelog and WordPress

A couple of years ago, I was exploring other alternatives to WordPress, more for the benefit of students, should I decide to implement some sort of requirement that they ought to post something or other. That’s when I discovered Tumblr and the concept of tumblelogs. And while I loved it and even tested it out a bit, I always wanted a way to keep our school’s domain, so thus I’ve been interested in finding someway to port that simplicity into my own domain’s app.

Today I just found a WordPress adaptation of the great tumblelog format, courtesy of zeo. It’s declared to be an engine as well as a theme. It seems, however, that I’ve either discovered it too late or too early, as it doesn’t seem to work with the most recent version of WordPress, 2.8.2 at the moment.

Nevertheless, it looks interesting and I’d love to implement something like it soon. Will definitely tinker with it and see if I can’t get it to work.
